Victoria records 1,302 local COVID-19 cases, no new deaths

Victoria has recorded 1,302 new local COVID-19 cases and zero deaths.

There are now 13,175 active cases of the virus in Victoria, and the death toll for the current outbreak remains at 635.

There are 406 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 81 active cases in intensive care, and 43 patients are on a ventilator.

The health department said there were 37 patients in ICU whose infections were no longer considered active.

The new cases were detected from 71,491 test results received yesterday.

There were 4,844 doses of vaccine administered at state-run sites yesterday, as well as more vaccinations at GP clinics and other venues.
