Here’s a quick wrap of each Australian jurisdiction’s latest COVID-19 statistics today — Wednesday, April 20.

• Victoria —  Fourteen deaths, 437 cases in hospital
• NSW — Fifteen deaths, 1,639 cases in hospital

Victoria

There have been another 14 COVID-19 deaths in the state.

There are 437 cases in hospital, with 34 of those in intensive care and 12 requiring ventilation.

There were 10,628 new cases today. 

We thank everyone who got vaccinated and tested yesterday.

Our thoughts are with those in hospital, and the families of people who have lost their lives.

NSW

The state has recorded 15 more COVID-19 deaths. 

There are 1,639 cases in hospital, 72 of those in intensive care. 

There were 15,414 new cases announced today.

– 96.1% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
