Victoria records no new COVID-19 deaths and 7,531 new cases

Victoria has recorded no new COVID-related deaths and 7,531 new cases. 

It takes the total number of active infections to 51,520.

There are 248 coronavirus patients in Victorian hospitals, up from 215 a day earlier.

Of those people, 20 are in intensive care units and five are receiving ventilation.

Just under 64 per cent of Victorian adults have now received three vaccine doses and around 94 per cent of those aged 12 and older have received at least two.

Of the new cases, 5,730 were detected through rapid antigen tests, and 1,801 through PCR tests.
