The taste of Greece reaches Australia with the leading protagonists being the varietal wines Moschato Mavro Tirnavou and Syrah
The enchanting allure of the varietal wines Moschato Mavro Tirnavou and Syrah has traveled across the oceans to Australia, captivating wine enthusiasts and industry professionals in a series of events. These events took place in February in Sydney and Melbourne as part of the “Promotion of Varietal Wines in Australia” program, co-financed by Greece and the European Union.
The roadshow was filled with flavors and aromas, featuring tastings at cellars and restaurants, masterclasses, and meals with experts from the wine industry. The presentation of the events was led by sommelier Angie Giannakoudakis.
Representing the winemakers, the president of the Agricultural Winery Cooperative of Tirnavos, Mr. Christos Tsitsirigos, the vice president Mr. Apostolos Evangelopoulos, the sales manager Mr. Athanasios Pliakas, and the communication representatives Ms. Paraskevi Psatha and Ms. Stella Kolovou, traveled to Australia and showcased significant aspects of cultivating the varietal wines Moschato Mavro Tirnavou and Syrah, emphasizing their authentic taste.

The program “Promotion of Varietal Wines – Moschato Mavros Tirnavou and Syrah – in Australia” is co-financed by Greece and the European Union during the period 2020-2023, with the Agricultural Coop. Winery of Tirnavos as the beneficiary.
