Nanterre, France – A 17-year-old Muslim named Naël [Nahel], with a history of criminal offenses, was shot and killed by a police officer in Nanterre on June 27. Naël had a notorious reputation, with 15 mentions in the criminal history file and a record of five instances of refusal to comply since 2021, according to sources from Europe 1.

The fatal encounter unfolded when Naël attempted to evade routine traffic control. His refusal to comply with the police’s instructions led to a confrontation that ended in his death. This incident has sparked an intense debate surrounding police conduct and the use of force.

Details about Naël’s criminal history paint a troubling picture. In addition to his frequent refusals to comply, he had been involved in acts of common law, including concealment and rebellion against police officers in 2020. The following year, he faced charges related to using false license plates, concealment, and driving without insurance. Moreover, Naël had encounters with law enforcement in January and March 2023 for drug-related offenses, including the consumption and sale of narcotics.

The police officer involved in the incident is currently in custody. Identified as a decorated former soldier with a decade-long career in the national police, the officer has received numerous commendations and an internal security medal. Despite his excellent record, his actions in this particular case are under scrutiny, and the investigations will determine the extent of his culpability.

The death of Naël has sparked widespread violence and unrest across France as individuals identifying as leftists and Muslims engage in rioting, property destruction, attacks on businesses and government buildings, and even targeting police officers. Their demands for ‘justice’ for Naël appear to be used as an excuse to perpetuate further destruction. These actions contribute to the unfortunate deterioration of the situation in France.

The Nanterre prosecutor’s office has initiated two separate investigations—one for refusal to comply and attempted intentional homicide against a person holding public authority and the other for intentional homicide by a person holding public authority. The latter investigation has been assigned to the IGPN, the police force’s internal affairs division.

Naël’s family has announced their intention to file a complaint for intentional homicide against the police officer responsible for firing the fatal shot. However, the incident quickly became a platform for opportunistic left-wing politicians and celebrities who shamelessly rushed to support Naël’s family without waiting for the release of all the pertinent facts. Astonishingly, these politicians even went so far as to hold a moment of silence for Naël in the hallowed halls of government, commemorating a repeat offender while simultaneously choosing to denounce law enforcement. Their striking hypocrisy is further highlighted by their deafening silence in failing to acknowledge the countless women and children who have been victims of heinous crimes committed by illegal migrants, enabled by their own reckless open-border policies.

As the investigations progress, questions of police procedures, accountability, and the handling of repeat offenders will undoubtedly continue to be at the forefront of public discourse. The incident in Nanterre is a stark reminder of the complex challenges law enforcement faces and the public.
