Swordfish killed by swimmers on a beach in Chalkida, Greece

16 July, 2019

A swordfish which swam its way to the shallow waters of a beach in Chalkida on the island of Evia, was killed by beachgoers.
The swordfish went to the shallow water to give birth and was stoned to death by bathers on the beach.

At first, the bathers panicked as they thought the fish was a shark and immediately ran out of the water. However, when it was discovered that it was a swordfish, they began to chase it and throw objects at it which resulted in its death.
