Greece’s Civil Aviation has suspended flights to/from North Italy

Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority has decided to suspend flights from all Greek airports to and from North Italy on Monday.

“All flights to and from Northern Italy are suspended from all Greek airports and for all airlines, from today March 9 to March 23, 2020,” a statement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority said.

“The CAA prioritizes passengers and flights safety and in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the ESA, proceeds as a precautionary measure against COVID19 to temporarily suspend all flights to and from northern Italy, the statement added.
The relevant NOTA is valid from 9 March 2020 to 23 March 2020 and applies to all airports in Northern Italy and “in particular to the regions of Emilia Romagna, Piemonte, Lombardy and Veneto,” the statement stressed.
It is noted that the suspension of flights applies to all Greek airports and all airlines.
